The cellar’s excellent whites are Pinot Bianco, Friulano, Malvasia, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
From a stunning blend of Friulano, Sauvignon and Pinot Bianco grapes selected at the Siris district of Cormòns, the Driuses have crafted Vignis di Sìris, an exquisite fusion of flavours from the great white grapes of their land. The Drius reds are the characterful Merlot and the full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, a cornucopia of raspberry, blueberry and blackberry forest fruit sensations.
Mauro Drius makes slow-paced wines that age unhurriedly because, as he says, “wine, like human beings, needs to take its own time and has to mature to reach a peak of expression”.
