History
Winery · Family · Territory

Our long-standing vocation for viticulture is still our passion today. For generations, the Drius family has cultivated the vine in the extreme north-east corner of Italy where the Friuli Venezia Giulia DOC zones of Collio and Isonzo have yielded exceptional wines since time immemorial.
The area’s heyday was under Hapsburg rule from the sixteenth century onwards, when this pocket-handkerchief territory achieved fame for its inimitable wines. In the heart of the territory lies Cormòns and it was from here that in the second half of the 19th century the Drius family set out for Argentina. A few years later they returned, drawn by a strong sense of kinship with their native land.
As Mauro Drius likes to say: “My roots, my history and the lessons that my family has passed down through the generations give me the drive to innovate for the future”.
